Expansion is a strategy that the most veteran Conrohl players pursue as quickly as possible. The more planets you have the more resource fields you can mine and the more leaders you can train. The quickest way to start down the path of expansion is to settle a new planet. Before you can settle a planet you must construct a Settler , Core , or Incubator .

To do this you must have researched the technology City Planning. One cautionary note: Nations of Conrohl require significant appeasing in order to maintain your National Pride. When you settle a new planet your nation’s pride decreases due increased corruption and the fear of needing to support the young planet. To settle a planet, just follow these steps:

1. Research the technology City Planning and build your City Center to level 5, for instructions on how to do this please visit the how to on constructing buildings here.
2. Enter your City Center
3. Build a Settler, Core, or Incubator depending on your race, for instructions on how to build a unit visit the how to (link to the how to build units).
4. View the Map here:
5. Peruse the map for the location you would like to put your new city. Every square that does not yet have a planet icon is available for you to settle. There are 6 types of planets you can settle:
   1. Base: The first planet type that you start with. Resource production is distributed evenly here.
   2. Food: These planets produce food more effectively than the other resources.
   3. Iron: These planets produce iron more effectively than the other resources.
   4. Oil: These planets produce oil more effectively than the other resources.
   5. Uranium: These planets produce uranium more effectively than the other resources.
   6. Energy: These planets produce energy more effectively than the other resources.
6. These 6 planet types are strewn across the universe randomly but not evenly. You can see what type of planet each square contains by scrolling over it. Once you have decided on the planet type and location click on that square. You should now see this:
   
7. Click Send Settler. This will navigate you to your City Center and will auto-fill the Settler Manager with the coordinates of the planet you would like to settle, enter the name of the planet (I have entered my new planets name as “Frank Bain,” your screen should look like this:
   
8. Click Send Settler. You should now be at your new “Planet Overview.”
